ELECTRICIAN – MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT
$31.56/hr – $32.04/hr (Rates effective 11.01.25)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for equipment set-up, troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and components.
Electrician trainee starting pay range is – $31.56/hr – $32.04/hr (Rates effective 11.01.25)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of electrical equipment and components.
- Performs scheduled electrical repairs of production equipment during non-production hours.
- Trouble shoots electrical equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gages, and other equipment
- Performs electrical duties including repair of heavy-duty mining equipment and other equipment used in the mining process.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required electrical maintenance and service.
- Comply with MSHA safety and health rules
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience, education, and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the electrician position.
- Our salt mine works on a 24-hour schedule. Must be available to work any shift, weekends, overtime, and extended hours as needed
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2+ years of electrical experience.

In addition, work surfaces under feet may include solid concrete, be uneven, contain heaves, boulders, and other aggregate material that could cause unstable footing and that would require an individual to stand upon for at least eight (8) hours per day and at least forty (40) hours per week.
